Actions Speak Louder Than Words

In a bizarre twist, Marin tweets “In less than 48 hours, you have no ombudsman.”

He tweets that he was told he would be ‘temporarily reappointed’ for at least four months when his term expires this Friday.”, CityNews reports.

“Marin said he’s yet to hear anything, so he asked his Twitter followers to contact Government House Leader Yasir Naqvi regarding his job status.”

So let me get this straight… for doing his job, Marin now faces the possibility of losing that job? I realize Marin’s term is expiring, but the timing is a little more than curious. He exposes the bull, lack of accountability, unfair billing practices and horrible customer service of HydroOne and now he’s the bad guy?

Hydro rates are out of control in this province; families must either decide to put food on the table, or pay their hydro bills.  Hydro rates have climbed in excess of 200% in some rural homeowner cases.  In some areas, the increase has been as much as 350%.  And we’re not using more electricity, it’s the greed of HydroOne and the incompetence of our energy minister, Bingo Bob.  *ahem, excuse me, the honourable Minister from Ottawa West—Nepean, Bob Chiarelli.

So for pointing out that there has been egregious billing and customer service problems the utility “lost sight of its public interest purpose”, Marin now faces the likelihood that he will not be returning to his post after the week ends.

Noticing a trend yet?  Anyone who disagrees with the practices and policies of the Kathleen Wynne liberal government is automatically categorized as a bigot and/or homophobic. Marin wants to keep his job, but it seems he made a mistake in pointing out the severity of mismanaged hydro policies.

But then again, Wynne is planning on selling off 60% of the public sector utility thus moving out of the prerogative of the Ontario Ombudsman.  So I guess we won’t need him anymore. It should also be noted that the arguably illegal sale of HydroOne also means that the Auditor-General Bonnie Lysyk, the information and privacy commissioner, financial accountability officer, integrity commissioner and French language services commissioner and the advocate for Children and Youth will no longer have any oversight of this utility.

Casey Bennett notes, “So Hydro One is exposed to the public and what does the Wynne government do in response? Well…”

Well indeed. Anyone who disagrees with Kathleen Wynne and her holier-than-thou government is either homophobic or faces the possibility of losing their job.

Pray you’re not an e-mail Marin… the liberals like to delete those.

Hey… OPP; how are those four ongoing criminal investigations into illegal activities at Queen’s Park coming along?
